Success Criteria

By researching/analysing past student’s coursework (A grade) i have come up with a list of criteria of elements i should use in my coursework, created by identifying/observing the best components of the previously mentioned student's work, I have come to the conclusion that my work must meet a certain standard in order to reach a grade of a similar level:

Strengths:

  • The task connotes the genre well

  • Content - well researched and developed well

  • Cinematography interesting and well used

Weaknesses:

  • Mise - en - scene could be improved to further connote the genre.

  • Could use with more of a variety and depth within representation (Race/Sexuality/Gender/Age/Disability).

Overall i think this is what needs to be included to achieve the best grade possible:

  • All sections of the coursework must be completely finished and to the expected level of excellence.

  • All analytical work should include a range of detailed analysis.

  • The webpage must include high levels of effort and this will be shown through the amount posted on the page.

  • Footage taken/used should be my own/partners (tiff) as well as being innovative and an accurate fit for the task set.

  • Vast amounts of research and evidence must be produced.

  • All Research must be supported with large amounts of evidence/information therefore leaving no questionable gaps in the coursework.

  • The use of good spelling, punctuation and grammar alongside my ability to include valid information must be consistent through out my frequently updated blog.

  • Research and Planning should be evident in all aspects of the music video produced.

  • The final evaluation should be full of large quantities of detailed evaluation, links to the coursework and my own structured opinions.

  • Good Communication with Tiff is critical in ensuring that we both achieve a high grade and as a result are on track for this goal.

  • Using this high level of communication to make sure we both follow and keep up with the production schedule so we do not fall behind, meaning our end result is good quality coursework rather than rushed coursework.

  • Complete all tasks on the production schedule and when we can do extension tasks

  • Understand expectations that Tiff and I have from each other so that we know exactly what to expect from each other so we don't let one another down or miss tasks

  • Make sure that we both check our work with a teacher to regularly get feedback for improvements and adjust accordingly.

  • Readable and Interesting Font if used within video and work.
