Whilst Selecting the chosen track that would feature in our music video and the focus i will be basing the connoting ancillary task around, We decided quickly to research how to contact the artist, Hayley Kiyoko behind the song ‘Girls like girls’ we decided on this song released in 2015 as this seemed the perfect for our work for the representation we plan to use, to try and gain permission for the usage of the song within our work. After finding out it would be near impossible to contact her directly we went down the track of trying to contact the record label and distribution company. These companies were Atlantic Records and Empire Distribution. unfortunately so far we have not received an email back in reply to the question so we will assume that all possible copyright problems will be resolved through us crediting the audio to Atlantic Records and Hayley Kiyoko herself upon the publishment of our work on the platform  Youtube.
