Audience research - main task

I decided to conduct survey’s regarding my construction products, I got 15 members of my target audience to view each product and answer the surveys. as well as these computerised surveys done on www.surveymonkey.com, I conducted some focus groups.

Survey Monkey

Focus Session

I carried out a focus group interview to find out what a member of the target audience thought of the media product

Here is a less detailed version of the conversation for analysed purposes:

what elements of the video did you like the most? and what could be improved?

- Liked the alternative music player, the vinyl help show song is from the indie genre, this helps to confirm that the vinyl was a good choice.

- the interviewee believes we should take the song title in the yellow writing out as it was obvious from the record that was playing just before which is a fair point and if i had more time I would adjust this.

- she believed it Represents bisexuals in a way that’s more interesting than other similar narratives such as same love by Macklemore.

are there any elements that look particularly professional like a real media product?

- Having all actors in the lip syncing is called more professional looking that way

- Drone look professional

- Screen recording is an 'effective tool to show us what is going on' this comment was an interesting one as once again this was good feedback to know if it was a form that the audience would like.

- Clothing and main characters hair colour go well with the genre, she used the example of Melanie Martinez hair.

are all questions you had answered by the end of the video?

- Flashbacks are useful and showed how the girl meets her partner

anything else you want to add?

- How the argument and you’re filming goes so well together is show 'skill and talent'

- the colour scheme was used throughout was good
